Why No Reviews??!!!
I get asked this a lot.
A LOT.
Customers, friends, even Google want to know: “Why don’t you have product reviews on your site?”
Here’s the truth: when I shop online, I do my own research. I look at ingredients, sourcing, dosing, and formulation. I don’t rely on reviews—and I don’t want Burdock and Bloom Labs to either.
When I launched the site, three different companies reached out offering to generate AI-written reviews. They pitched five “authentic” 3- to 4-star blurbs per product. That was the moment I knew I’d made the right call: no reviews, no shortcuts, no fake consensus.
Because when it comes to things like dietary supplements or skincare, everyone is different.
You might absorb a vitamin better than Phil from New Jersey. Jack from Colorado might love our vitamin C because he runs four 10Ks a year and eats clean. If you buy it based on his review—but don’t share his lifestyle—it might not work the same for you.
With beauty products, your pores might be larger or smaller. Your skin might be more acidic, more oily, more reactive. You may not even know. That’s why we focus on clarity, not crowd-sourced hype.
We want your shopping experience to be yours. Not shaped by someone else’s biology, habits, or opinions. Not influenced by AI-generated praise. Just you, your needs, and the information to make a smart, safe choice.
I hope this clears some things up.
Happy shopping—and remember, you can always reach out with questions.
